Charmsoffice.com is an online database the Ranger Band will begin using to keep track of all student and parent information such as email addresses, phone numbers, groups, chaperones, and lots more. We ask each parent to please go online and update their student and parent information.

| The Ranger Band Boosters have signed up with Great Lake Shop with Scrip program to raise funds for the band. This will go to buy instruments, provide extra meals and enhance the overall music education of our students. Scrip is simply 'substitute' money, or more commonly gift cards. If you purchase gift cards for your daily spending needs (groceries, household, travel, etc) the band will receive an approximately 4% to 8% 'rebate' on all of your purchase. The amount varies with each retailer and gift cards are available at hundreds of retailers in our area. Groceries are about 4%. Travel and Dining about 8-10%. Clothing 6-10%. It requires little imagination to figure out that if 120 families do their daily spending with scrip cards and the band receives 5% rebates on every purchase, we could shortly have the best equipped band in Texas! It can all be done online 24 hours a day at your convenience. Please consider participating in this program. It does require a bit of pre-planning on the parents part, but the benefit could be enormous. Here is a document outlining the program in MS Word or PDF format and the necessary codes to enroll. |
Ranger Band Recycling Program! Does
you inkjet printer eat cartridges faster than a teenage
musician cleans out a fridge? Did you finally get that
new cell phone so you could text your teen? If so, please remember to send your used inkjet cartridges
and outdated cell phones with your musician to school
to be recycled. There is a drop-off box in
the band hall, and the band does receive proceeds from
your contribution. And best of all, they are recycled
so you can buy them again next year!
WANTED: A FEW GOOD LAPTOPS: We would
like a few laptops for our students to use for individual
practice that utilize software we have available. We
are not looking for top-of-the-line models, more like
corporate 'retiree' models. They can be Mac or PC, with
XP/Vista/MacOSx. If you or your company has some retirees,
the Ranger Band can provide a tax-deductible receipt.
You can send the make and model to Mr. Schnitzer to
see if it meets the software requirements.
