Greetings from the Band Boosters!

Welcome to a new and exciting year surrounding the Naaman Forest Mighty Ranger Band! If you are a parent or guardian of a NFHS Marching Band student, then you automatically receive membership in the Naaman Forest Band Booster Club. We also offer Associate Memberships to extended family members and friends that would like to support our band. The mission of the Boosters is to promote spirit and support the band organization in all its endeavors. We also serve as a means of communication to keep parents informed of activities and events of the band program.

The fall is a very busy season with football games, marching festivals, 8th Grade Band Night, the UIL Marching Competition and Senior Night. All the hours of afternoon practice will culminate in a spectacular show entitled "Hyperspace." We are anticipating earning our 22nd 1st Division rating at UIL this year! After the new year we look forward to the MLK Parade, chili cook-off, band trip to Santa Fe, UIL Concert & Sightreading Contest and the band banquet. We also have specialty performing groups within our band that rehearse and compete in the spring — the Jazz Band, Winterguard, and Percussion Ensemble.

Please join us on the first Tuesday of the each month during the school year at 7:00pm in the band hall for our Booster meetings. It is a great opportunity to get involved, have FUN, and meet new parents and students. The more you participate, the more people you'll meet and see that it takes a lot of volunteers to help support the band. Whether you can volunteer just a few times or many, your student will appreciate your participation in a program that matters a lot to them. And you'll soon know what a great group of students they are when you see the camaraderie that exists between them.

I'm looking forward to meeting our new 9th grade parents and welcoming back familiar faces and old friends. It's going to be a great year for the Mighty Ranger Band!
